The name “Tone Deff” is play on words. “Tone” is a childhood nickname but also a fundamental photographic term referring to the balance of light and dark in an image.

“Deff” is a homage to Most Def, one of Tone’s inspirations. But also, an abbreviation for defined. The company is defining Tone’s passions and dreams and his work is characterized by defined tone, color, composition and story.

If you need to cancel, the $500 deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel less than sixty (60) days before the event, the total fee (less the deposit already paid) becomes due. If you need to reschedule, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate the new date (if within 12 months), and the deposit may be transferable, subject to our availability. If we are unavailable on your new date, it will be treated as a cancellation.

Tone Deff Enterprises retains full copyright ownership of all video footage. Upon full payment, you (the Client) are granted a license to use the final delivered videos for personal, non-commercial purposes. This includes sharing with family and friends and posting on personal social media. You are prohibited from selling, using for commercial purposes, or re-editing the videos. (unless otherwise stated in our contract)

My standard turnaround time for delivering fully edited photos is typically [e.g., 4-8 weeks] and for videos is [e.g., 8-12 weeks], depending on the scope of the project and current workload. We always aim to deliver sneak peeks sooner if possible! We'll provide a more specific timeline in your contract.

My style is primarily semi-documentary, which means I focus on capturing the authentic story and genuine emotions as they naturally unfold. I love blending into the background to catch those candid, unscripted interactions and real moments.

Alongside this documentary approach, I incorporate a few gently directed moments. This allows us to create some beautifully composed, classic shots, ensuring you have a well-rounded collection of memories without feeling overly posed for hours.

When it comes to color grading, I aim for a true-to-life look that feels natural and timeless, often enhanced with a subtly dreamy vibe that adds a touch of warmth and magic.
